India Student Visa Service Instruction

PLEASE GATHER, PREPARE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
Valid Passport:
You must send the actual passport. The passport must have at least six (6) months validity remaining before expiration and has at least one complete blank visa page for the visa stamp.

Visa Application Form & Additional Information Form:
Please click on the link at the bottom of this section to complete, and create your India visa application online. After you fill out the form online, your application form will appear completed on your screen (PDF file), and please print it out !

Photograph:
You must provide two 2"x2" passport type photo.

Proof of Address:
Applicants must submit one clear copy of their utility bill or driver license. For Minor, copy of parent's driver license is acceptable.

Copy of the birth certificate:
Applicants must submit one clear copy of their birth certificate. For Non-US born applicants that do not have their birth certificate, provide a copy of a document issued by Government authorities. This document could be an old (not current) passport or a school leaving certificate etc., provided it shows their personal particulars like name, date of birth, parents names, and nationality.

Admission Letter:
A letter confirming admission from such an institution along with evidence of financial arrangements for stay in India should accompany the application. In case of admission in medical or paramedical courses in India, a letter of Approval or No objection certificate from the Ministry of Health, Government of India, is also required. Similarly, for admission to graduate or post-graduate courses in engineering/ technical institutions in India, a letter of approval or a No objection certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources Development (Department of Education) is required. A Business Letter from your company address to "Consulate of India " explaining the purpose of the trip, guaranteeing financial support for you while in India.

Additional Requirements for Non-U.S. Citizens:
You must send a copy of both sides of your U.S. Green Card or your U.S. visa.
